Griffin Blames Outrage Over Beheaded Trump Photo on Trump: 'Would Have Been Gone...Without His Tweet'

Comedian Kathy Griffin said President Donald Trump's tweet in response to her controversial beheaded Trump photo was an effort on his part to distract away from “his bad news of the day.”Speaking to Politico, Griffin said the incident has
significantly impacted her ability to take her comedy show on tour and has resulted in numerous death threats. Griffin also blames the president for escalating the situation.“I think it would have been gone in a week without his tweet,” Griffin said. “Trump knows what would be perceived as something hysterical and he loves hysteria. There are millions of people who think I’m a member of ISIS to this day.”After the gory image of Griffin holding up a bloody fake head of Trump went viral, the president took to Twitter to voice his disgust. “Kathy Griffin should be ashamed of herself,” Trump wrote, indicating that his 11-year-old son Barron was having a “hard time” after seeing the picture.\
